H2020 Proposal Evaluation Simulation
Simulate the evaluation process on real H2020 proposals.
You will become an evaluator and experience first-hand the evaluation process to better understand this critical stage of the selection process in Horizon 2020 and conceive your H2020 proposals in this light in the future.
This half-day simulation begins with briefing of the evaluators on the ‘call’ and the rules and procedures of the evaluation process. The evaluators will then conduct their individual assessment of the H2020 proposals, after which they will gather with their fellow evaluators for consensus meetings. Once the consensus reports are drafted in each panel, final ranking will be established, which will serve as the basis for the allocation of budget amongst the highly ranked proposals.
Agenda
09:00 – 09:30 Briefing of evaluators
09:30 – 11:00 Individual Evaluation Sessions
11:00 – 11:30 Coffee Break
11:30 – 12:30 Consensus Meetings

Consortium Agreement and Legal Issues
This half-day course will provide the participants with a sound understanding of the options for the scope and content of consortium agreements that can effectively complement the Grant Agreement in Horizon 2020 projects. To fully understand what should be included in the Consortium Agreements and how, we will introduce the rights and obligations deriving from the Grant Agreement and discuss what other types of legal agreements may be concluded before entering into a Consortium Agreement.
We will conduct a hands-on workshop on consortium agreements for H2020 projects, during which the participants will work on different case studies to discuss how to draw up an effective Consortium Agreement. For this exercise, we will introduce different real-life scenarios with problematic and challenging situations in H2020 projects such as conflicts on IPR and exploitation issues, delays and quality problems in reports and deliverables, risks on financial management, and other budgetary problems.
